Donate by joining one of HSP's Circles of Support
As many of you know, HSP's work is driven by the strength and talents of the Mayan community leaders who guide our programming in Guatemala. We've created a Circle of Support around several of these key partners, to help ensure the success of the programming they each helm. Our goal is for each Circle of Support to have enough regular, monthly contributors to support each program annually. It only takes 100 people giving $10 a month to sustain each of these programs.
Donate today by clicking on the "DONATE NOW" button below:

Join Hilda and AMA's Circle
Every day, Hilda Chanchavac works with the indigenous Mayan women of the Highlands of Guatemala to build their esteem and ability through the Highland Women's Association. Known as AMA for its acronym in Spanish (Asociacion de Mujeres del Altiplano), this growing network of women's circles is improving the lives of the Mayan people, one woman at a time. As an indigenous Mayan woman herself from the same region, Hilda's guidance and own example is invaluable to the women she leads. By joining this Circle, you'll be supporting Hilda in the work she does every day throughout over a dozen women's circles in the Guatemala.Join Dilma and MAP's Circle
Every week, Dilma Yac teaches fun art lessons to hundreds of Mayan children in Guatemala through the Mayan Arts Program (MAP). Their weekly MAP lessons are some of the only opportunities these children have to let their imaginations blossom and learn about their own cultural heritage. Building their creativity and esteem through MAP helps them immeasurably throughout their lives. By joining this Circle, you can help make sure these children always everything they need for their arts education: art supplies, lesson plans, and -- most importantly -- their Mayan teacher, Dilma.Join Marvin and HSP's Circle
Marvin Gonzalez has worked with the Highland Support Project (HSP) in Guatemala for almost a decade. Many of our past North American volunteers will recognize him as their constant companion and wonderful shepherd during service trips. As a professional fireman and trained EMT, Marvin makes sure all our volunteers are always safe and sound. What you may not know is that Marvin also plays a big role in the overall programming of building stoves and planting trees in the Mayan communties HSP serves. He is the community leader that negotiates with all the regional authorities to ensure our service programs run smoothly and successfully. Marvin is also the year-round guardian of the thousands of trees HSP volunteers plant. Plant a tree and build a stove by joining this Circle today. Why Donate Monthly Automatically?
Make your donation go so much further by choosing to make your donation a recurring one. A regular monthly donation of just $10 a month amounts to only $120 annually to support the wonderful work of our Mayan partners. The less time HSP has to spend raising funds, the more energy and resources we have to dedicate to our programming in Guatemala. Make your life easier with this automatic monthly contribution and rest easy knowing that all you had to do to continue your partnership with the Mayan people was make this one-time commitment.
The Highland Support Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Richmond, Virginia. HSP serves the Mayan communities of Guatemala through transformational development projects and offers service-learning trips to North Americans in our ongoing mission to foster meaningful exchange and understanding across the Americas.
