Join Us for a Morning of Service and Impact!

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference for Indigenous communities?

The Highland Support Project (HSP) invites you to join us for a morning of service at the 2025 Richmond Turkey Trot. By volunteering, you’ll help us raise vital funds for Indigenous sustainability efforts—supporting projects that heal the land, restore ecosystems, and honor traditional knowledge.

This is your chance to give back, create positive change, and be part of something truly impactful—all while enjoying the spirit of Thanksgiving!

Event Details:

Location: William Byrd Park, Shields Lake Dr off of Shirley Ln.

Parking: Dogwood Dell Amphitheater - 600 S Arthur Ashe Blvd.

Richmond, VA 23220

  • Time: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM

  • Date: Thursday, Nov. 27th

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success! Your time and effort will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for all participants.

Volunteer Roles Needed:

  • Registration & Packet Pickup: Welcome participants, assist with check-in, and distribute race packets.

  • Course Marshals: Guide runners along the route, ensure they stay on course, and cheer them on!

  • Water Station Attendants: Keep runners hydrated by handing out water at designated points.

  • Start & Finish Line Support: Help coordinate the race start and finish to ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • Cleanup Crew: Help leave the event space spotless and tidy after the festivities.
